MISSION STATEMENT: The Duane G. Meyer Library proudly supports the curriculum needs of the BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) degree programs at Missouri State*. We strive to maintain a well-balanced and comprehensive core book and video collection within the library, while also selecting and providing access to remote and global resources that support research and performance needs throughout our university and regional community.
*There are four BFA options available to students: acting; musical theater; dance; and design, technology and stage management. Students may also opt for either a BA or BS with a major in theater and a minor in a secondary area of study.
Meyer Library uses the Library of Congress (LC) Classification System. Every LC call number begins with a letter or letters which designate the general subject of the material. The numbers that follow indicate more specific subheadings. In the LC classification system, theater materials can be found in a variety of letter/number combinations. Below are some of the most frequently used designations for theater resources.
