Using this guide

Welcome to the Citation and Style Guide!

This guide is arranged by citation style. On the tabs above select the style you wish to use. If you don't see the style you are looking for click on the "Other Styles" tab.

If you have any questions feel free to call the Reference Desk at (417) 836-4535.  You can also email, chat (during certain hours) or set up a research consultation by using the Ask A Librarian link.

Citation Workshops

Why do I have to cite my sources?
Whenever you quote, summarize, paraphrase or discuss someone else's work in your paper, you have to give the original author credit.

The Meyer Library offers citation workshops. The workshops provide information on how to avoid plagiarism, cite sources in the appropriate format and how to create reference pages.  Check back here or on the Libraries' homepage at www.library.missouristate.edu for workshop dates.
